Go on, bite the bullet!

The seasons and changed and people are out of hibernation spending! Christmas is just around the corner and you could do what you have always done or try something different…

Between now and the festive season, consumer spending amounts to the biggest spend of any section of the year.

Sales are up in the grocery, retail, trades and general industry sectors.

You can do what you have always done or you can ‘bite the bullet’ and do what you have always ‘wanted to do’ but never got around to doing…

We all want;

• Perfect gardens, but we don’t want to pull weeds
• To look wonderful, trim and terrific, but can’t be bothered managing our food and drink or exercising for that matter…
• To have great teams, but don’t want to hold them (or ourselves) to account
• To have a profit at the end of the year, but really can’t be bothered making the hundreds of little decisions daily to accumulate that profit…

So here is the delusionary thing…

We will feel the pain, it’s just when you want to feel it…

We can take a little bit of discipline (pain) daily and feel good about our progress or

We can put off the pain (no discipline) and watch the pain accumulate, feeling worse and worse as it does accumulates…

We all know what we should be doing, the more we don’t do it, the worse we feel … and yes it does accumulate, like a big pile of you know what…

Compounding pain

• We avoid our financials monthly to avoid the pain of seeing how badly the business is performing
• We put off talking to a staff member and end up doing the work for them “because no one can do it as good of efficiently as us”
• We give all our staff wonderful wages and we take home the least
• We don’t take holidays at Christmas because we cant afford it or we cant afford to replace ourselves at that time of the year, when we should be taking a break

So the question is…
